MYO Guide
This guide covers all you need to know about MYO slots and how to submit your design for approval!
MYO Slots MYO GUIDE
So, you've got a MYO Slot? That's great! If you have a MYO Slot just like that, such as through trading or purchasing, you can skip the next few steps. If you have a Carrier item, such as through the MYO Shop or events, you must turn it into a MYO Slot to use it.
Head over to your inventory and locate your Carrier, for this example, we will be using a Common Carrier which can be turned into a Common MYO Slot! Click on your Carrier and a window will pop up with some information and options. To turn this item into a MYO Slot, you will need to tick the box next to the Carrier you want to use (and select quantity if you have multiple) then go to the 'USE SLOT' option and click 'Open'.
If all goes well, you will get an alert saying 'MYO Slot created successfully' and 'Item used successfully'. You can click on the 'MYO Slot' in the first alert or head over to your profile and go to the MYO Slots tab.
If you click on your MYO Slot, you will be taken to its page with information! You may notice that, unlike characters, MYO Slots do not have a code as a name (such as Plushibes have a PET-1234 or PAL-9876) but every MYO Slot does have its own ID which you can see in the URL. For example, this example slot had the URL 'plushibes.com/myo/7' making it the 7th MYO ever created. This means you can still link your specific MYO Slot somewhere if you want to!
Now, let's go over everything you can see and do with your MYO Slot! First off, we will be looking at the info box on the right side of the screen. 'Notes' and 'Credits' can be ignored, as these will refer to the character image once the design is submitted and they do not apply to the MYO Slot. 'Info', however, is worth looking at! Here you will see the MYO's species (which, in all cases, should be Plushibes), rarity and traits. In most cases, this will state 'No traits listed' which is correct! If any traits are listed, which should not be the case often, it means you have to use those traits on your Plushibe design.
Now, we will take a look at the box at the bottom. Both 'Stats' and 'Description' are worth taking a look at. In the top section of the 'Stats' tab, you will see the owner and creation date of the MYO Slot. Below that, you will see the trade permissions of the slot. In this case, the slot may be gifted (gift to a friend or giveaway) and traded (for art, characters, customs, other MYOs, etc.) but not sold (for $USD, DA points, etc.). The value will be listed here as well, which would be either the price you paid for the MYO or $0 if the MYO Slot is not obtained through purchase (purchased slots will always be allowed to be resold, event slots may depend on slot). In some cases, when applicable, there will also be a transfer cooldown stated below the sale value - if the slot is on cooldown, you cannot gift/trade/sell it!
Now we'll take a look at the 'Description' tab. In most cases, this will be a simple informative text about the MYO Slot, such as shown below. MYO Slots may not always have a description, if this is the case you can always ask a staff member if you're unsure about the slot!
We've gone over the most important information on a MYO Slot, but there are a few other things you can check out! In the sidebar, you can click on 'Edit Profile' to add notes to your MYO Slot or list it for trade. The 'Profile Content' can be used to write little notes to yourself (keep in mind they're still publically visible) such as a theme you want to go with or a list of trait options - you can use this space to store ideas for the design! If you have your slot trade listed, I recommend using this field to note down what you are looking for ("resale for $25", "looking for Plushibes only", "$usd > art > characters", etc.), currently, you can only list slots 'for trade' whether its trade or sale so this helps people looking to trade out a lot! You can list your MYO Slot for trade/sale by enabling the 'Up For Trade' option. Make sure you click on 'Edit Profile' when you're done!
If you wish to transfer your MYO Slot, you can click on 'Transfer' in the sidebar! The transfer page contains information about the approval process and cooldown, so I won't mention that here (check the screenshot below for that!), and shows two fields below. In the 'Recipient' field, you enter the username of the person you are transferring your slot to (this MUST be someone on-site, if you're discussing a trade with someone off-site make sure you inform them that they need a plushibes.com account to receive the MYO Slot). Below that you enter the transfer reason, this is required for staff to approve the transfer ("trade for art", "gift to my friend <3", "trade for this character; toyhou.se/16890752", etc. - make it short and clear!).
There are a few more things you can do, but not all are important to show here, so here's a quick rundown of the options in the sidebar! 'Profile' shows the text you've written down for the slot and will show if it's trade listed. 'Change Log' will show a list of changes made to the MYO Slot, such as updated permissions. 'Ownership History' will show a list of all the previous owners of the slot and transfer reasons. 'Edit Profile' and 'Transfer' we've walked through already. 'Submit MYO Design' will be covered in the next section.
That's all for this section! If you have any further questions please contact a mod or ask in the Discord server!
MYO Design Submission MYO Guide
So, do you have a MYO Slot and a design ready for submission? Awesome! Navigate down to 'Submit MYO Design' in the sidebar.
To start the MYO submission process, you need to click on 'Create Request'. Note that this submission will safe drafts, meaning you can safely leave the submission halfway before submitting it for staff's review. Take your time to work through the form carefully, it would be a shame if you need to re-submit because you missed something out of haste!
Once you've created the request, the submission process begins! This screen suddenly shows a lot of information and options so may seem a bit overwhelming at first; hence this guide! You will see an alert at the top stating you've created your approval draft, as long as this is a draft you can edit it at any time and staff will not be notified yet. You have several tabs with an X in front, this means you have yet to fill in information in these tabs before you can submit your request. We will walk you through each tab!
It's easiest to work your way through every tab from left to right, but technically you can fill in whichever you want at any time. For the guide's sake, we will start with the 'Comments' tab! This page shows only a comments field, these comments will be visible to the staff member reviewing your submission. In most cases you will likely have nothing to put here, in that case, you leave the field empty but click on 'Save' anyway to mark this tab as finished. There are some cases where it is useful to put a comment down, for example, if you redesigned a character into a Plushibe (provide a link to the original designer's TOS to show this is allowed). The comments field does not need to be 'short and clear', if needed the more details the better! Make sure to click 'Save' when you're done! (You can still go back to edit it before submission)
Next, we will head over to the 'Masterlist Image' tab (notice that 'Comments' now has a green O rather than a red X to signal you've completed the information). In this tab, you will upload the main design image for your Plushibe, which should be a clear reference. When the image is uploaded, an image cropper will pop up, this is for the thumbnail that shows up on the masterlist; the entire image you uploaded will show on the profile.
You can toggle 'Use image cropper' on and off. If on, you select a square area of the main image, if off, you have to upload your own image. Please note that the thumbnail only functions this way because most reference sheets are not square when masterlist images should be; the thumbnail image should not be an 'icon' or 'profile picture' and still show as much of the design as possible. This is why using the image cropper is heavily preferred over uploading a custom thumbnail. (NOTE: The image used is only a placeholder for screenshots for this guide, this is NOT a good example of what a design image should look like)
You will need to add credit for the design and image art. If the designer/artist is on plushibes.com, always enter their username! Only if they are not, use the link field instead (don't fill in both for the same artist!). If you are the designer and/or artist, fill in yourself in that field. If there are multiple designers, or multiple artists (such as a base used), click on the + to add another designer or artist field.
When you have uploaded all files necessary and filled in all fields, you can click on 'Save'. Once you do, you will be able to preview the main design image and the masterlist thumbnail! This is useful so you can second-check if you want to go back and edit something.
Now, we head over to 'Add-ons'. Here you can select items to use in your MYO Submission. Just like the Comments tab, if you have nothing to add here, click on 'Save' anyway! If you do have something to add, such as a Shop Trait item or a Thread item, then you can do so here!
Click on 'Show' next to 'Your Inventory'. You can use the search bar or category filter to find your item if you have a full inventory. Tick the box(es) of the item(s) you want to use. If you have multiple of the same item, make sure to select the right quantity so you use the appropriate number of items. Make sure to click 'Save' when you're done - whether you did or didn't use any items! (You can still go back to edit it before submission)
- NOTE: This screenshot is outdated. This shows an Ultra-Rare Fabric, an item that has changed since the creation of this guide and currently cannot be used on MYO Slots. An Ultra-Rare Thread would serve the purpose this old screenshot does.
Next is the final tab, the 'Traits' tab. This is where you enter your Plushibe's info and traits. Some fields are already set and cannot be changed, in this case, the species and rarity fields have already been set to Plushibes and common. You have to set a subtype as well, which refers to Plushipets (feral/anthro) or Plushipals (humanoid) - this is important for the traits, all traits are the same for all Plushibes aside from stitches/patches where stitched are for pets and patches for pals.
Then you can add the traits of your Plushibe! Earlier we used an Ultra-Rare Fabric, which allows us to add one Ultra-Rare trait to our Plushibe, in this case, the Multi-Patch trait. In these cases, you would use the 'extra info' field. Note that these notes will show up in the trait list, so make sure to keep the note as short and clear as possible. (These traits are not accurate with the example image nor would this small amount of traits work for a Plushibe. Again, this is all for the examples!)
- NOTE: This is outdated information! Fabric items only change traits on Plushibe designs upon design update. In this case, you would need to use Ultra-Rare Thread, which does add traits to MYO Slots.
Once you're done with all these steps, all tabs should show a green O. If any of them still show a red X, make sure you've pressed 'Save' on every tab! When they're all done, you can return to the 'Status' tab and click on Submit. It will ask you one more time if you're sure you want to submit your request; remember that when you do this you can not go back to edit it anymore.
Once you've submitted your request, you can view its status. Likely it will show up as 'pending' at first unless a staff member is extremely fast. Give it some time, once it's been pending for longer than 24 hours, you can ask about it in the Discord server. You will get a notification on-site when your submission has been approved or rejected (if it's rejected there will be a note from staff why - if you can't get further from the note alone, contact a mod).
Congratulations, your MYO design has been approved, have fun with your Plushibe! You can visit its page now to view the details. Everything you can do with the approved character can be found in the Character Guide.
One thing we will still cover here though, is the name. As you see, the profile will show up as 'PET-0001: Common MYO Slot' which doesn't make much sense. This is because when a MYO design gets approved, the name of the MYO Slot automatically becomes the character's name; but you can change it! Just head over to 'Edit Profile' and change the name, now it will display as 'PET-0001: Name' which looks a lot better. Not sure what to name your shibe yet? Nothing's stopping you from putting down TBN until you've come up with a name :)
And that's it for this guide! Don't be afraid to ask the mods through Discord if this guide doesn't answer all your questions. Happy shibing! <3
